Classic Entourage Mag: Can you share with us your journey into the world of music production and DJing? What inspired you to teach yourself these skills at a young age?
IVNSKY: I began my musical journey with the guidance of my parents. My father taught me how to play instruments such as the guitar and piano, as well as introducing me to the world of computers. My interest in producing EDM was sparked by my mother’s passion for dance music. I was fascinated by the way technology can be used to create music. My early work was inspired by DJs such as AVICII, Deadmau5, and Tiesto (when he was making trance and Big Room/Electro House).
Attending Berklee College of Music is a significant step in your musical education. How did that experience shape your approach to music production and sound engineering?
While studying at Berklee College of Music, my knowledge in music production and sound engineering expanded, especially since I was able to work with industry-standard equipment such as mixing consoles, top level monitor speakers, and other sound tools. My degree was Music Production and Design, which allowed me to explore the world of DAWS (Digital Audio Workstations) and gain insights into the techniques of recording, mixing, and sound design. Thanks to my professors, I’ve come to realize that there’s boundless potential within my own music. They’ve encouraged me to never feel hesitant to share any new ideas that come to mind as it can bring about progress and growth.
CE Mag: Your affiliation with genres such as Tech House, UK Garage/Bassline, and Techno is evident in your work. What draws you to these specific genres, and how do you incorporate them into your music?
INVSKY: My music preferences tend to evolve over time. As with many artists, I strive to stay current and avoid becoming obsolete. Recently, I have been drawn to Tech House, UK Garage/Bassline, and Techno. I love the energy and rawness that each genre brings to the table. Incorporating them into my music comes naturally as I draw inspiration from a variety of sources.
When producing, I often experiment with different sounds and incorporate elements of each genre to create a unique and dynamic track. I believe that each genre can complement one another if used in the right way. My goal is to create music that blends different styles and delivers a fresh and exciting listening experience for my audience.

CE Mag: Performing as an opener for artists like Chris Lorenzo, Cloonee, Purple Disco Machine, Galantis, and Armin Van Buuren is a remarkable accomplishment. Can you tell us about some memorable experiences or lessons you’ve gained from sharing the stage with such notable figures in the EDM scene?
INVSKY: It is a great experience to be an opener for some amazing artists. I get the opportunity to observe and learn from the best, not only about music making, but also when it comes to stage presence. They have taught me how to engage with the audience, even if I make mistakes, and to keep them interested in my music. Being an opener allows me to explore beyond the realm of “certified bangers,” and find new music that defines my unique sound. I strive to entertain the crowd, but I also must keep in mind that I am not the main act of the night. For instance, opening for Armin Van Buuren led me to develop a fascination for dark techno trance. Overall, being an opener is a thrilling experience and contributes to my development.
CE Mag: Boston and Cambridge seem to be central to your performances, with venues like Big Night Live, The Grand, Royale, Cantab Lounge, and Versus. How does the local music scene influence your work, and what do you enjoy most about performing in these diverse spaces?
INVSKY: Performing at different venues in Boston and Cambridge is something I really enjoy. The EDM nightlife community is growing here, which inspires me, and I am grateful to be a part of it. The local music scene has a significant impact on my work, and I find it exciting to be able to express myself freely as an artist in these diverse spaces. As a DJ and music producer, I am always looking for ways to create more unique and captivating mixes, and being able to perform in amazing venues like Big Night Live, The Grand, Royale, Cantab Lounge, and Versus allows me to do just that.

CE Mag: Your tracks and mixes are available on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music. How do you use these platforms to connect with your audience, and what role do online platforms play in the modern music landscape for emerging artists like yourself?
IVNSKY: Online platforms such as Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music are important to today’s artists. They play a crucial role in helping artists connect with their fans by keeping them updated about the release of new tracks/albums and upcoming concerts. Despite having a relatively small collection of songs and followers as of now, I understand the importance of using these platforms to promote my music. All these media outlets make it easy for people to find these artists.
To improve my online presence this year, I am working hard to be more consistent in my postings on social media and streaming services. I have some exciting ideas that I am eager to share with my fans and followers. I believe that with dedication and persistence, I can use these online platforms to help me grow as an artist and connect with a wider audience.
CE Mag: Can you walk us through your creative process when producing music? Are there specific rituals or inspirations that guide your workflow?
IVNSKY: When it comes to my creative process for music production, I usually kick things off by recording voice memos of any melodic ideas that spring to mind. Surprisingly, these ideas don’t usually come to me when I’m holed up in my studio; instead, I tend to have these bouts of inspiration while doing everyday tasks, such as doing household chores, taking walks, or even trying to sleep. After I’ve got some ideas to work with, I move on to creating a drum groove and exploring possible ways to enhance the melody.
It’s not mandatory for the melody to be the most prominent part of the song. It could be a catchy bass rhythm that lingers with the audience. Are there any particular rituals or inspirations that guide my workflow? Not really, but I do tend to experiment with different sounds and techniques to keep things interesting.
CE Mag: As both an artist and DJ, how do you balance your creative expression with the expectations of your audience? Are there particular elements or themes that you consistently incorporate into your performances?
IVNSKY: During my performances, whether planned or not, I always strive to maintain a seamless transition between previous and new tracks. My focus is not just on the melody but also on drum patterns that keep the excitement going or bass lines that adds a groovier feel compared to the original track. There are many elements that come to mind when creating these sets, and my aim is to make the mix sound smooth and continuous.
“I am not just waiting for one track to end before pressing play on the next, but instead, I try to incorporate new elements that will add to the overall experience for the audience.“

CE Mag: Looking ahead, what are your goals and aspirations in the music industry? Are there specific projects or collaborations that you are excited about in the near future?
