Classic Entourage Mag: Can you share the inspiration behind starting Uplift Provisions, considering the challenges you faced with addiction and the car accident?
Rocco Danieli: After losing my sisters from overdose my addiction to alcohol came spiraling and so didn’t the consequences. I had to make a change I started working on myself health, wellness and mental clarity I became inspired to create with being almost 2 decades in the industry I decided to capitalize on what I know and that’s hair and how to sell products. So I created Uplift.
CE Mag: How do you ensure that Uplift Provisions products are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and artificial dyes, and what impact do you believe this has on their effectiveness?
Rocco: We ensure after years of testing we are currently wholefoods qualified which you cannot be on the shelves of their stores unless following their strict guidelines. The effectiveness people should be reading the back of ingredients. Example just 2 years ago we lost my aunt to cancer that was linked back to the use of commercialized products.

CE Mag: How has your experience as a Master Barber and Co-Owner of Over the Top Barbershop influenced the direction of Uplift Provisions?
Rocco: I have very diverse clientele I needed a product for all of my clients. Giving them the same experience at home as I give them leaving my chair. That is the biggest satisfaction I have.
CE Mag: From starting in your kitchen to becoming a full-scale manufacturing operation in Massachusetts, what were the key milestones in Uplift Provisions’ journey?
Rocco: Key milestones would be surviving through Covid after being shut down, staying consistent with our accounts. Constantly increasing quality and operations. Staying positive and moving through every obstacle.

CE Mag: What sets Uplift Provisions apart from other brands in the market catering to barbers and hair stylists?
Rocco: What sets us apart is that we stay committed to making all of customers feel a part of something by promoting them throughout our platforms. Not to mention we give a portion of all proceeds to our nonprofit The Family Restored a group helping families that are affected by addiction through education and scholarship funding.
CE Mag: In what ways does Uplift Provisions contribute to the broader barbering and hairstyling community?
Rocco: Our education program not only provides cutting and styling skills, but we teach photography and social media and how to operate your business correctly. Covering all aspects of the business.
CE Mag: What have been some of the biggest challenges in building Uplift Provisions, and how did you overcome them?
Rocco: We lost our manufacturer which caused us to have to make everything by hand like the old days. The industry is over saturated, but we pride ourselves on customer service and integrity the products are a byproduct of my journey helping, inspiring and Uplifting others.

CE Mag: How has the response been from barbers and hair stylists who have used Uplift Provisions products?
Rocco: We feel our loyal accounts love the convenience of how we operate 2-day shipping, personal interaction, fast response and products their clients love. Because they are easy to use and wash out great.
CE Mag: What are your future plans for Uplift Provisions, and how do you envision its continued growth and impact?
Rocco: We are growing nationally from barbershops to salons. I see us being on almost every shelf but most of all having those who believe in the brand as we believe in them. We want to share our story with the world.
CE Mag: Based on your experiences, what advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs in the beauty and grooming industry?
Rocco: Follow your instincts, don’t compare just move forward. Hardwork pays off. But don’t forget be in the moment and remember some of the obstacles were once your prayers.
